नारियल उत्पादों के व्यापार एवं विपणन पर अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन

नारियल विकास बोर्ड, (कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार) इंटरनेशनल कोकनट कम्यूनिटी (आईसीसी) के सहयोग से नारियल उत्पादों के व्यापार एवं विपणन पर दो दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन आयोजित किया। कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन डा. विजयलक्ष्मी नदेंडला भा.प्र.से., मुख्य कार्यपालक अधिकारी, नाविबो और संयुक्त सचिव, कृषि एवं किसान कल्याण मंत्रालय ने डा. जेल्फीना सी अलौव, कार्यकारी निदेशक, आईसीसी; डा. रघुनंदन राव भा.प्र.से., प्रधान सचिव और एपीसी, तेलंगाना सरकार; डा पी. चंद्र शेखर, महानिदेशक, मैनेज; डा रमेश मित्तल, निदेशक, सीसीएस एनआईएएम, जयपुर, श्री बेर्नी फेरर क्रूज़, आईसीसी राष्ट्रीय संपर्क अधिकारी एवं प्रशासक की उपस्थिति में किया। अपने उद्घाटन भाषण में डा. एन. विजयलक्ष्मी भा.प्र.से., मुख्य कार्यपालक अधिकारी ने बताया कि आईसीसी के वर्ष 2020 के आंकड़ों के अनुसार वैश्विक उत्पादन में 30.93% हिस्सेदारी के साथ भारत दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा नारियल उत्पादक देश है, इसके बाद इंडोनेशिया और फिलीपींस आते हैं। उत्पादकता के मामले में भारत प्रति हेक्टर 9,346 फल के साथ दूसरे स्थान पर है जबकि प्रति हेक्टर 10,547 फल के साथ वियतनाम पहले स्थान पर है। नारियल फसल देश के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद में लगभग 307,956 मिलियन रुपए का योगदान देती है और लगभग 75,768.80 मिलियन रुपए का निर्यात राजस्व अर्जित करती है। उन्होंने बताया कि बोर्ड देश में नारियल क्षेत्र के विकास के लिए बाजार संवर्धन गतिविधियां चलाता है। प्रमुख गतिविधियों में बाजार संवर्धन, बाजार आसूचना, बाजार अनुसंधान, बाजार विकास, किसान समूह का समर्थन करना और निर्यात संवर्धन परिषद (ईपीसी) की जिम्मेदारियों को निभाना और अन्य सक्षमकारी नीतियां शामिल हैं। वर्ष 2021-22 के दौरान नारियल उत्पादों का निर्यात वर्ष 2020-21 के 2294.81 करोड़ रुपए के मुकाबले 3236.83 करोड़ रुपए रहा जो कि पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में 40.09% की सकारात्मक वृद्धि दर्ज की गई। उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि नाविबो ने प्राथमिक स्तर पर नारियल उत्पादक समितियों (सीपीएस) तथा  उन्हें एकीकृत करने हेतु मध्यवर्ती स्तर पर नारियल उत्पादक संघ (सीपीएफ) और शीर्ष स्तर पर नारियल उत्पादक कंपनी (सीपीसी) के साथ त्रि-स्तरीय किसान समूहों का गठन करके किसानों को संगठित करने के लिए एक नया विस्तार पद्धति शुरू की। अब तक देश में 9787 सीपीएस, 747 सीपीएफ और 68 सीपीसी का गठन किया गया है। दो दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में नारियल उत्पादों के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परिप्रेक्ष्य; सुस्थिर नारियल स्रोत की ओर बढ़ना; नारियल उत्पादों के लिए वैश्विक बाजार संभावनाएँ और विकास संभावनाएँ; और नारियल क्षेत्र में नवीन उद्योग पद्धतियां और प्रौद्योगिकी के अनुप्रयोग विषय पर 4 सत्र शामिल किए गए जिनमें 20 तकनीकी पत्र प्रस्तुत किए गए। इस सम्मेलन में दुनिया भर से 450 से अधिक प्रतिनिधि वर्चुअल तरीके से शामिल हुए और 26 अंतर्राष्ट्रीय प्रतिनिधि सीधे उपस्थित हुए। आईसीसी की कार्यकारी निदेशक डा. जेल्फीना सी अलौव ने अपने भाषण में नारियल में वैश्विक बाजार की संभावनाओं, नारियल क्षेत्र में नवीन उद्योग और नारियल क्षेत्र में सुस्थिरता पर तकनीकी जानकारी के अंतरण को सुविधाजनक बनाने पर जोर दिया। डा. रघुनंदन राव भा.प्र.से., प्रधान सचिव और एपीसी, तेलंगाना सरकार ने अपने भाषण में बताया कि तेलंगाना में कृषि पर भारी निवेश किया गया है और नारियल फसल में अद्भुत वृद्धि हुई है। उन्होंने बताया कि राज्य खेती फसलों से रोपण फसलों की ओर परिवर्तित हो रहा है। श्री बेर्नी फेरर क्रूज़, आईसीसी के राष्ट्रीय संपर्क अधिकारी एवं प्रशासक ने नारियल क्षेत्र के महत्व पर जोर दिया, जिसके लिए बाजार अनुसंधान, नारियल मूल्य वर्धित उत्पादों की गुणवत्ता और डिजिटल मार्केटिंग में सफलता की आवश्यकता है। इस अवसर पर नाविबो के इंडियन कोकोनट जर्नल का हीरक जयंती अंक विमोचित किया गया और बाजार अनुसंधान गतिविधियों और एफपीओ को चलाने के लिए नाविबो और राष्ट्रीय कृषि विस्तार प्रबंध संस्थान (मैनेज) और राष्ट्रीय कृषि विपणन संस्थान (एनआईएएम) के बीच एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए। डा.हनुमंते गौडा, मुख्य नारियल विकास अधिकारी ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया।

Coconut Development Board, (Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India) in association with International Coconut Community (ICC) is organizing a two days International Conference on Trade and Marketing of Coconut Products. The programme was inaugurated by Dr.Vijayalakshmi Nadendla IAS, Chief Executie Officer, CDB and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, in the presence of Dr. Jelfina C. Alouw, Executive Director, ICC; Dr.Reghunandan Rao IAS, Principal Secretary and APC, Govt. of Telengana; Dr.P. Chandra Shekara, Director General, MANAGE; Dr.Ramesh Mittal, Director, CCS NIAM, Jaipur, Mr.Bernie Ferrer Cruz, ICC National Liaison Officer and Administrator. In her opening remarks, Dr.N. Vijayalakskmi IAS, CEO, briefed that, as per 2020 statistics of ICC, India is the largest coconut producing country in the world, with 30.93% share of global production, followed by Indonesia and Philippines. India ranks second in terms of productivity 9,346 nuts per ha next to Vietnam 10,547 nuts per ha. The coconut crop contributes around Rs.307,956 million to the country’s GDP and earns export revenue of around Rs.75,768.80 million. She informed that the Board undertakes market promotion activities for the development of the coconut sector in the country. The major activities comprise of Market Promotion, Market Intelligence, Market Research, Market Development, facilitating Farmers’ Collectives and performing the responsibilities of Export Promotion Council (EPC) and other enabling policies. Exports of coconut products during 2021-22 were valued at Rs.3236.83 crore as against Rs.2294.81 crore in 2020-21 registering a positive growth of 40.09% over the previous year. She also pointed out that CDB started a novel extension approach to organize farmers by formation of three-tier Farmer Collectives with Coconut Producers’ Societies (CPS) at primary level and integrate them to form Coconut Producers’ Federation (CPF) at intermediate level and Coconut Producers’ Company (CPC) at apex level. So far, 9787 CPSs, 747 CPFs and 68 CPCs are formed in the country. The two days International conference will cover 4 sessions, on International Outlook for Coconut Products; Moving towards Sustainable Coconut Sourcing; Global Market Prospects and Growth Prospects for Coconut Products; and Innovative Industry Practices and Application of Technology in Coconut Sector, wherein 20 technical papers will be presented. In this conference, more than 450 delegates joined virtually across the globe and 26 international delegates are being participated physically. Dr.Jelfina C. Alouw, Executive Director, ICC, in her address stressed about facilitating the transfer of technical information on global market prospects in coconut, innovative industry in coconut sector and sustainability in coconut sector. Dr.Reghunandan Rao IAS, Principal Secretary and APC, Govt. of Telengana in his address pointed out that, Telengana is invested heavily on agriculture and there is a tremendous growth in the crop, coconut. He informed that the State is shifting from field crops to plantation crops.  Mr.Bernie Ferrer Cruz, ICC National Liaison Officer and Administrator emphasized the importance of coconut sector, which needs a breakthrough in market research, quality of coconut value added products, digital marketing. On the occasion, the Diamond Jubilee issue of Indian Coconut Journal of CDB released and an MOU was signed between CDB and National Institute of Agricultural Extension and Management (MANAGE) and National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM) for carrying out market research activities and FPOs.
