नारियल विकास बोर्ड ने तृश्शूर में राज्य स्तरीय किसान मेला 2023 आयोजित किया

नारियल विकास बोर्ड ने केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, वेल्लानिक्करा, तृश्शूर के सहयोग से शुक्रवार 17 फरवरी 2023 को सेंट्रल ऑडिटोरियम, केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, वेल्लानिक्करा, केरल में राज्य स्तरीय किसान मेला आयोजित किया। डा.ए.सक्कीर हुस्सैन, रजिस्ट्रार, केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय, तृश्शूर ने कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन किया। अपने उद्घाटन भाषण में डा.सक्कीर हुस्सैन ने देश में नारियल उत्पादन और उत्पादकता की स्थिति पर बात की और रोजगार सृजन प्रदान करने में इस क्षेत्र की प्रासंगिकता पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने किसानों से आईसीटी, आईओटी कृत्रिम बुद्धि (आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस) आदि जैसे क्षेत्र की विकसित तकनीकों का उपयोग करने में खुद को अद्यतन करने का आह्वान किया। उन्होंने कहा कि केरल में नारियल की उत्पादकता बढ़ाने के लिए नाविबो, केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय और केंद्रीय रोपण फसल अनुसंधान संस्थान मिलकर काम कर सकते हैं। डा. जेकब जोण, विस्तार निदेशक, केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय ने अपने मुख्य भाषण में किसान की आय को दोगुना करने के लिए बहुस्तरीय फसल प्रणाली के महत्व पर बात की। राज्य सरकार द्वारा केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय के सहयोग से कार्यान्वित कृषि योजना आधारित उत्पादन कार्यक्रम किसान की आय बढ़ाने पर ध्यान केंद्रित कर रहा है। मूल्य वर्द्धन और विपणन भी महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्र हैं जिन पर अधिक ध्यान देने की आवश्यकता है। डा.बी. हनुमंते गौड़ा, मुख्य नारियल विकास अधिकारी, नाविबो ने अपने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में कहा कि किसान मेले के आयोजन में बोर्ड का उद्देश्य राज्य के प्रत्येक ग्राम पंचायत में कम से कम एक उद्यमी बनाना है। बोर्ड ने केरल राज्य में नारियल की खेती और उद्योग के एकीकृत विकास के लिए अपने कुल वित्तीय आबंटन का 30% निर्धारित किया है। उन्होंने नारियल खेती से बेहतर आय सृजित करने के लिए किसानों से नारियल उत्पादों के विपणन पर अधिक ध्यान केंद्रित करने का आह्वान किया। नारियल के कीट एवं रोगों के प्रभावी प्रबंधन के लिए समुदाय आधारित पद्धति की आवश्यकता पर भी बल दिया गया। श्री प्रमोद पी कुरियन, उप निदेशक, नाविबो ने सभा का स्वागत किया और डा. अन्नीना ई.आर. एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर, केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय ने धन्यवाद प्रस्ताव दिया। कार्यक्रम में राज्य भर के सभी नारियल उत्पादक जिलों के लगभग 800 किसानों ने भाग लिया। बैठक के बाद नारियल खेती से संबंधित विभिन्न समस्याओं और संभावनाओं पर तकनीकी सत्र और किसान - वैज्ञानिक परिचर्चा संपन्न हुई। कार्यक्रम के सिलसिले में नवीन मूल्य वर्धित नारियल उत्पादों को प्रदर्शित करने वाली प्रदर्शनी भी आयोजित की गई। प्रदर्शनी में नारियल विकास बोर्ड, केंद्रीय रोपण फसल अनुसंधान संस्थान और केरल कृषि विश्वविद्यालय तथा अन्य उद्यमियों / शिल्पकारों ने अपने उत्पादों तथा सेवाओं का प्रदर्शन किया।

Coconut Development Board in association with Kerala Agricultural University, Vellanikkara, Thrissur organized a State Level Farmer’s Mela on Friday 17^th February 2023 at Central Auditorium, Kerala Agricultural University, Vellanikkara, Kerala. Dr.A. Sakeer Hussain, Registrar, Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural address Dr.Sakeer Hussain spoke on the status of coconut production and productivity in the country and emphasized the relevance of this sector in providing employment generation. He called upon the farmers to keep themselves updated in utilizing developed technologies of the sector like ICT, IOT Artificial Intelligence etc. He added that CDB, KAU and CPCRI can work hand in hand for enhancing the productivity of coconut in Kerala. Dr.Jacob John, Director of Extension, KAU in his keynote address spoke on the importance of multi level cropping system for doubling the farmer’s income. Farm plan based production program being implemented by the state government in association with KAU is concentrating on increasing the farmer’s income. Value addition and marketing are also important areas which need more attention.

Dr.B. Hanumanthe Gowda, Chief Coconut Development Officer, CDB in his presidential address said that the objective of the Board in organising Farmers Mela is to create minimum one entrepreneur in each grama panchayath of the state. Board has earmarked 30% of its total financial allotment for the integrated development of coconut cultivation and industry in the state of Kerala. He called upon the farmers to concentrate more on marketing of coconut products to generate better income from coconut farming. The need for community based approach was also emphasized for effective management of pest and diseases of coconut. Shri.Pramod P Kurian, Deputy Director, CDB welcomed the gathering and Dr.Annena E R Associate Professor, KAU proposed vote of thanks. Around 800 farmers from all coconut growing districts from across the state attended the programme. The meeting was followed by a Technical Session, Farmer’s Scientist’s interactions on various problems and prospects related to coconut farming. An exhibition showcasing innovative value added coconut products was also held as part of the programme. Coconut Development Board, CPCRI and KAU and other entrepreneurs/craftsmen displayed their products and services in the exhibition.
