in connection with its 44^th Foundation Day in Alappuzha

नारियल विकास बोर्ड ने अपने 44वें स्थापना दिवस के सिलसिले में 12 जनवरी 2024 को आलप्पुष़ा जिले के भरणिक्काव ग्राम पंचायत कार्यालय के सामने रामाप्पाट्टिल घर में किसान के खेत में नारियल किसान संगोष्ठी आयोजित की। डा.रेजी जैकब, प्रमुख, आईसीएआर-सीपीसीआरआई प्रादेशिक केंद्र, कायंकुलम ने कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन किया। उन्होंने अपने उद्घाटन भाषण में नारियल खेती की संभावनाओं और प्रसंस्करण तथा मूल्य वर्धन में आगे बढ़ने की आवश्यकता पर बात की। श्रीमती मिनी मैथ्यू, सहायक निदेशक (प्रचार एवं जनसंपर्क) ने कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता की। श्री कट्टानम षाजी, अध्यक्ष, ओणाट्टुकरा नारियल उत्पादक कंपनी; एड्वोकेट थॉमस एम मात्तुण्णी, प्रेसिडेंट, भरणिक्कावु पंचायत नारियल उत्पादक संघ और डा.रमणी गोपालकृष्णन, भूतपूर्व निदेशक, नाविबो एवं सीईओ, ओणाट्टुकरा नारियल उत्पादक कंपनी इस अवसर पर बोले। श्रीमती मिनी मैथ्यू, सहायक निदेशक ने नारियल विकास बोर्ड के कार्यक्रमों और योजनाओं के बारे में विस्तार से बताया; सीपीसीआरआई के वैज्ञानिक डा.जिलू वी साजन ने नारियल की वैज्ञानिक खेती के बारे में बात की और नाविबो की विकास अधिकारी श्रीमती विन्सी वर्गीस ने नारियल प्रसंस्करण और मूल्य वर्धन के बारे में बताया। कार्यक्रम में लगभग 300 किसानों, आलप्पुष़ा जिला कृषि विभाग के अधिकारियों, नारियल विकास बोर्ड और केंद्रीय रोपण फसल अनुसंधान संस्थान के वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया। किसान संगोष्ठी के साथ नारियल के मूल्यवर्धित उत्पादों की एक छोटी-सी प्रदर्शनी भी लगाई गई। श्रीमती मिनी मैथ्यू, सहायक निदेशक (प्रचार एवं जनसंपर्क) ने स्वागत भाषण दिया और श्रीमती सोना जोण, प्रचार अधिकारी ने धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया।

Dr.Regi Jacob, Head, ICAR – CPCRI Regional Station, Kayamkulam inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural address he spoke on the prospects of coconut farming and the need for venturing into processing and value addition. Smt. Mini Mathew, Assistant Director, Publicity & Public Relations presided over the programme. Shri.Kattanam Shaji, Chairman, Onattukara Coconut Producer Company; Adv.Thomas M Mathunny, President, Bharanikkavu Panchayath Coconut Producer Federation and Dr.Remany Gopalakrishnan, Former Director CDB and CEO, Onattukara Coconut Producer Company spoke on the occasion. Smt. Mini Mathew, Assistant Director detailed about the programmes and schemes of Coconut Development Board; Dr.Jilu V Sajan, CPCRI Scientist, spoke on scientific coconut cultivation, and Smt.Vincy Varghese, Development Officer, CDB explained about the coconut processing and value addition. Around 300 farmers, Alappuzha District Agriculture Department officials, senior officials from Coconut Development Board and Central Plantation Crops Research Institute attended the programme. A small exhibition of coconut value added products was also arranged along with the Farmer’s Seminar. Smt. Mini Mathew, Assistant Director, Publicity & Public Relations delivered the welcome speech and Smt. Sona John, Publicity Officer proposed vote of thanks.
