58वां आईसीसी सत्र और अनुसचिवीय बैठक

58^th ICC Session and Ministerial Meeting

टोंगा सरकार की अध्यक्षता में इंटर्नेशनल कोकनट कम्यूनिटी (आईसीसी) की 58वीं आईसीसी सत्र और अनुसचिवीय बैठक 28 और 30 नवंबर 2022 के दौरान आयोजित की गई। बैठक में सदस्य देशों में नारियल की खेती तथा उद्योग की स्थिति और क्षेत्र की बेहतर संभावनाओं के लिए अग्रगामी मुद्दों पर परिचर्चा हुई। डा. हनुमंते गौड़ा, मुनाविअ, नाविबो ने इस अवसर पर देशीय प्रस्तुतीकरण - भारत प्रस्तुत किया। डा. जेल्फीना सी अलौव, कार्यकारी निदेशक ने वार्षिक रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की और आईसीसी द्वारा की जा रही गतिविधियों के बारे में बताया। सत्र के दौरान वर्ष 2023 के लिए प्रस्तावित कार्यक्रमों एवं गतिविधियों का अनुमोदन किया गया। आईसीसी सदस्य देशों और पर्यवेक्षक संगठनों जैसे एफएओ, एसपीसी, एसीआईएआर, सीआईआरएडी, सीएबीआई, सीएआरडीआई आदि ने सत्र में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया।

The 58^th ICC Session and Ministerial Meeting of the International Coconut Community (ICC) chaired by the Government of Tonga were held during 28^th and 30^th November 2022. The meeting discussed the status of coconut cultivation and industry in the member countries and the way forward for the better prospects of the sector. Dr.Hanumanthe Gowda, CCDO, CDB made the Country Presentation – India during the occasion.  Dr.Jelfina C Alouw, Executive Director, presented the Annual Report and updated the activities being undertaken by ICC. The programmes and activities proposed for the year 2023 was approved during the session. ICC Member countries and Observer Organisations like FAO, SPC, ACIAR, CIRAD, CABI, CARDI etc actively took part in the session.
